CBS Summer Schedule: New Shows, Dome on the Move

at .

CBS has big plans for summer.

Not only is Under the Dome moving from Mondays to Thursdays, they're adding CSI vet Marg Helgenberger to the cast for a long-term arc and adding Zoo to the schedule, a new drama series based on a James Patterson novel. Let's take a look.

A Possible Escape - Under the Dome

Big Brother premieres on Wednesday, June 24 at 8/7c and airs again on Thursday, June 25 at 8/7c. All summer long you can catch it three nights a week (yes, three) on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Under the Dome Season 3 premieres on its new night, Thursday, June 25 at 9/8c.

Zoo premieres Tuesday, June 30 at 9/8c. Based on the best-selliing book by James Patterson, it stars James Wolk (Mad Men) as a renegade biologist thrust into a race to unlock the mystery of a pandemic that begins after animals ferociously attack humans across the globe, leaving them no place to hide.

Extant Season 2 premieres on Wednesday, July 1 at 10/9c. Considering the retooling of the cast, it's almost Extant 2.0. Halle Berry's character, Molly Woods will discover she needs the help of a fearless bounty hunter (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) as her alien half-breed son has sent the human race on a path of destruction. Oops.

It's also worth noting that CSI: Cyber will be airing new episodes right up until the premiere of Extant and The Odd Couple will be airing new installments through the summer, indicating it may be in line for renewal.
